Angolo Vetusto Earth Stones - Frequently asked questions: shipping costs and times, returns and refunds, payments, authenticity, Extra-EU customs.

Orders & Payments

 

1) Can I pick up in person?
No. We are an online-only store: we ship from Italy to Italy, EU and Extra-EU countries.

2) Which payment methods do you accept?
Credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express and others), PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay. All payments are tracked and secure.

3) Do you issue a receipt/invoice?
Yes, a receipt is always provided. Invoice upon request: write us before or immediately after placing the order with the required details.

 

4) Can I modify or cancel an order?
If the order has not yet been shipped, contact us immediately: we will do our best to assist you.


Shipping

5) What are the costs, couriers and delivery times?

Italy: €7.00 – BRT – 3-7 days – free for orders over €70.00.

Europe: from €9.90 to €15 (Regions 1-4) – BRT/DPD/UPS/Postal Service – 5-15 days depending on the area – free for orders over €150.00 (Reg.1–3) and €200.00 (Reg.4).

Non-EU: €30.00 – UPS/Postal Service – 7-15 days – free for orders over €200.00.
(Malta is treated as non-EU due to special courier rates.)

6) Will I receive tracking?
Yes. The tracking code is sent by email once the parcel is handed over to the courier.

7) Do you offer combined shipping for multiple items?
Yes, items from the same order are shipped together in a single tracked parcel.

8) Do you ship with insurance?
Upon request: contact us before purchase for a quote.

Returns & Refunds

9) Can I return an order?
Yes, within 14 days from delivery (EU right of withdrawal). The item must be returned intact and in its original condition.

10) Who pays the return shipping costs?
Unless the error is ours, return costs are the responsibility of the customer. Contact us for instructions and return address.

 

11) What if the parcel arrives damaged?
Report it within 48 hours with photos of the packaging and the damage: we will open a claim with the courier and assist you in resolving the issue.

 

Products & Authenticity

12) Are the pieces exactly the ones in the photos?
Yes: every piece is unique and we photograph the actual item for sale.

13) Are the photos true to the real colors?
Photos are taken with LED light and professional lenses to enhance details and color play (opals). To the naked eye, inclusions or small imperfections may appear less visible; color may vary slightly depending on the display.

14) Are the gemstones natural? Do you indicate possible treatments?

Yes, authenticity guaranteed. Any known treatment is always disclosed in the item description.

15) Welo Opal “dry opal”: what does it mean?
It is a natural hydrophane opal (not treated): it can absorb water and temporarily reduce the play of colors; once dry it returns to normal. Avoid prolonged immersion, sudden temperature changes and chemicals.

16) Do you provide certifications/lab reports?
Upon request and for selected pieces we can arrange a certificate from the external laboratory ALGT (additional costs and time).

 

17) How are measurements and weights taken?

Dimensions are in mm/cm recorded with a professional caliper; weight in grams or carats recorded with a professional scale (decimal point format, e.g. 9.35 ct).

Taxes & Customs

18) Shipments within the European Union
No customs duties; current tax regulations apply depending on the country.

19) United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway and non-EU
Customs duties, local VAT and clearance fees may apply: they are borne by the recipient and set by the local customs authority.

Support

20) Can I request additional photos/videos?
Of course: contact us. We can provide macro photos, videos in natural light and, when useful, UV.
