Pyrite

Pyrite (FeS₂), nicknamed "fool's gold," is an iron mineral with a golden metallic sheen, famous for its perfect cubic crystals. Besides its historical use as a source of ignition and later for sulfur extraction, it is now prized for its aesthetic appeal and its protective energy properties. The finest crystals come from Peru, Spain, and Italy.
